This last weekend my dad traveled to Bozeman to spend a few days enjoying the beautiful colors and wildlife, and abundant photography opportunities that we have during this colorful season. We went into Yellowstone National Park on saturday and traveled through Mammoth Springs, over to Tower Falls and finally ended up spending the night in the middle of the Lamar Valley. When we woke up we were surrounded by a herd of Bison at least 700 strong. We took the opportunity to photograph them while we were within touching distance of the magnificent beasts. This one looked at me at just the right time.
Shot with a Canon 7D on a 70-200mm lens zoomed out at 70mm.
I’m finally getting around to posting pictures that were taken this summer! This photograph was taken during the 4th of July celebrations on Lake Washington around Kenmore, WA. During the show we were only about 250 feet from the launch pad. The show was incredible and the water was calm and perfect for the long exposure that makes this image so cool!
This post is just my final project for my color class. Its a series of Montana State University students and trees found in and around Bozeman using photoshop techniques to blend the two images together.
We have been having some crazy weather here in Bozeman. It has been in the mid 50s for the last couple weeks, and its February. Unreal, anyway, I have been going out regularly and shooting some of local bozeman. A lot of people here bike as a form of travel, weather for fun, for work, or to get to class, and since it has been decent weather you can see people riding again.
Here’s a bike that I saw leaned up against a house just down the street from where I live.
Walked through the house today after class and this caught my eye. Loved the way the diagonal shaft of light contrasted the vertical and horizontal lines..
On the way back to school we stopped in Idaho to visit family and I took this picture in the backyard. Loved the way the light hit the snow that was resting on this bush.
Another shot from our trip to downtown Seattle last weekend. This is the famous Pike Place Market, not quite as busy as it usually is due to gloomy weather but still full of the sounds of vendors selling their wares. I love the neon lights and the mood that this shot creates.
Spent the afternoon in downtown Seattle exploring with my good friends now that I’m back in the 206 for break. Loved the colors in this image of an Asian gift shop/market.
After hearing the hubbub about Peter Lik supposedly selling a photograph of Antelope Canyon for $6.5 million I think it is only appropriate for me to start asking for such a ridiculous sum of money for one of my pictures as well. I will be taking offers starting at $1 million and going up by $1 million increments.
This picture was taken in Antelope Canyon, looking up from the slots towards the gorgeous colors and light that makes these canyons famous.
